Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters: An unlikely haven for the college student on a budget

Most college students on budgets wouldn’t even think about shopping at Anthropologie, unless it was a special occasion. Most of their clothes are extremely expensive (jeans for $120, sweaters for $80). But what most people don’t know is that this high end store has an incredible sale selection. Their discounts in the sale section let you buy Anthropologie clothes for the same price as an affordable store sells them for, like American Eagle. To keep their wealthy customers wearing the latest fashions, Anthropologie changes their featured clothing frequently- so poor college students can reap the benefit when last month’s $200 blazer is suddenly on the sale rack for $50.

Urban Outfitters is another ‘expensive’ store that has great sales. They are less expensive than Anthropologie to begin with, so their sales are ridiculously cheap- you can find shirts for as cheap as $9!
